Boshart Pitless Adapter “Kit”
8" - 12" available well sizes
-
Optional: Depth Test Kit
Contractor must drill hole thru the upper casing in the field. Must purchase AC-2 Depth Tester Kit, resulting in additional cost and time. Mandatory in some states.
-
Optional: Upper Case and Lift-Out Pipe
Contractor must Engineer and Fabricate Upper Case to appropriate length. Lift-Out pipe requires field threading on both ends for Spool / Torque Arrestor Connections. State codes may require the full assembly to be fabricated at the factory. * NOT PERMITTED IN ALL STATES *
-
Contractor Required to Field weld Flange to Upper Case
Contractor must procure flange, gasket and hardware for Upper Case connection, resulting in additional cost and time. * FIELD WELDING REQUIRED *
-
Contractor Required to Field weld Flange to Well Casing
Contractor must procure flange, gasket and hardware. Field weld flange to Well Casing in the upside down position. Extreme care must be taken to assure proper orientation of the flange bolt pattern for correct discharge connection alignment. * FIELD WELDING REQUIRED * * FLANGED WELL CONNECTION NOT PERMITTED IN ALL STATES *
-
Stainless Steel Hardware for Cap
Stainless steel hardware is prone to Thread Galling, making it difficult to assemble and disassemble during installation and well pump maintenance. If galling occurs, hardware can snap or break, requiring replacement materials.
-
Optional: Spider Torque Arrestor
Fabricated from multiple pieces, not a solid cast component.
-
Spool Supplied With Only ONE Pressure Zone Tapping
Unable to provide both, Water Sampler Valve and Pressure Transducer into the submersible pump pressure zone.
-
Flanged Discharge Connection
Standard discharge connection is a flange. Boshart provides adapters to transition from flange to threaded, welded, or mechanical joint.
-
Spool and Discharge Body are Coated with NSF 61 Certified Baked Epoxy
Paint is not impervious to moisture. Moisture can penetrate beneath perfectly applied paint, causing the spool and discharge body to rust from within. * Barrier Protection Only *
Monitor Pitless Unit
6" - 36" available well sizes
-
Standard: Depth Test Block
Mandatory in some states. Factory installed ready to use. (3) 1/4″NPT tappings available for compressor, gage and air test line.
-
Standard: Upper Case and Lift-Out Pipe
Full Assembly Engineered and Fabricated at factory to Job / Customer Specifications, Complying with local and state codes. * FULL ASSEMBLY FABRICATED AT FACTORY *
-
Factory Welded Upper Case to Discharge Body
Welded by Certified Welders at the Factory to Customer Specifications. * NO FIELD WELDING REQUIRED *
-
Well Casing Connections available from Factory:
Welded, Threaded, Mechanical Joint (Coupling Included), Flanged
-
Moly Lube Coated Stainless Steel Hardware for Cap
Nuts are Moly Lube Coated to prevent Thread Galling. Thread Galling is common when stainless steel hardware is not Moly Lube Coated.
-
Standard: Spider Torque Arrestor or Hold Down Hooks
8″ = Spider Torque Arrestor – One Solid Cast Iron Component 10″, 12″ and Larger = Hold Down Hooks Hold Down Hooks create superior support / structure to prevent rotation during motor start-up and for higher pressure artesian well applications.
-
Spool Supplied With TWO Pressure Zone Tappings
Two pressure zone tappings to accommodate Water Sampler Valve and Pressure Transducer into the submersible pump pressure zone.
-
Discharge Connection Supplied From Factory to Customer Specification
Flanged, Welded, Threaded, Mechanical Joint (w/ or w/o Coupling)
-
Spool and Discharge Body are Hot Dip Galvanized (Lead Free Zinc)
Zinc is more electronegative than steel / iron, making Zinc the sacrificial material. When the base steel / iron is exposed, due to a scratch, the base metal is cathodically protected by the sacrificial Zinc coating. The surrounding Zinc is slowly consumed, protecting the base metal at all times. * Zinc provides an Impervious Barrier and Cathodic Protection *
* Thread Galling is common when the stainless steel surfaces of male and female threads are placed under pressure, during assembly or disassembly. The friction and stress breaks down the self-generated oxide film, causing the two parts to seize (gall). This type of galling is often referred to as “COLD WELDING”.
